This reliable VW T4 fourgon is more than 30 years old and continues to function well. We once got scared approaching Cherbourg-en-Cotentin as only the 2nd, 4th, and 5th gears worked. Fortunately, it was not a broken gearbox, but just a rubber ball on the gear lever mechanism that needed to be replaced. Although a messy job, we were able to fix it ourselves on site.
It is very economical
